We love all the luxe details (including a nine-tiered wedding cake!) in Johanna and Andrew’s wedding. With a background in the events industry and an eye for glamour, Johanna worked to customise all aspects of her nuptials to Andrew. After a ceremony at their high school chapel in Cincinatti, Johanna and Andrew hosted a lavish soiree at Crosley Estate — the former home of the bride’s grandfather.
A subtle bee theme (a play on their last initial) provided a playful element, while sequin linens and a glittering gold wall added extra glamour. But the drama didn’t stop there: Johanna rocked three polished wedding dress looks and even her ten (!) bridesmaids changed into Badgley Mischka rose gold sequin gowns for the reception.
Guests were gifted hand-painted TOMS wedges to match the peony and dahlia wedding flowers, while male guests received recycled bow ties. After such a spectacular party, the grand exit was just as unforgettable. “Everyone was asked to head outside for a sparkler send off but what nobody knew, including my groom, was that I had secretly planned for fireworks to line the driveway as we drove through!” says Johanna.
